** We are playing this fun, easy game called CAPTURE all week to practice our place value skills. All you need is a deck of cards... ask your child how to play! It's fun!

Writing: Making sure our writing is fluent-connecting sentences and starting out our stories with exciting words

 

Phonics/Spelling: 2 sounds of ea (ea=long e; like eat; ea=short e; like bread)

 

Social Studies: American Symbols

 

Math: Identifying coins

 

ALERT: More learning ahead! Now that we are learning how to identify coins, it would be a great idea to let your child have more experience at home. Have them count out coins laying around the house, gather enough money for your McDonald's order or look for prices around the grocery store!

Our time is in the morning, before recess. Don't forget to dress nice, bring tennis shoes for P.E./recess and bring your smile!
