Homework might look a little different this week. Here are some major changes for the week:

1. Spelling and Reading Log are the only homework for this week. Please have them ready on THURSDAY, in order to give more time for Campout on Friday.

2. Spelling Test will be on THURSDAY. Please take your practice test on Wednesday evening.

CAMPOUT!

Dear Parents,

This year, we have really grown as readers! We would love to celebrate our reading success as a class before we leave for Spring Break.

Friday, March 11th, first grade will be having their First Annual Reading Campout! This is a day to celebrate all the things we have accomplished as readers. To celebrate, we plan to do many fun reading activities that include:

1.   Reading in the Dark- Bring sleeping bags, blankets and      flashlights… Get cozy and read like we are in the woods!
2.   Super Reader’s Scavenger Hunt-read a list and hunt for things outside!
3.    Read a recipe… for S’mores-Of course, we will eat them, too!
4.   Listen to camping stories and pretend like we are in the woods!

We hope that this reading celebration continues to promote excitement about reading! Please feel free to send sleeping bags, blankets, lanterns or flashlights no earlier than the Friday of the campout.
