Homework is a good way to practice skills we are learning at school. It is also a good way to develop responsibility in our first graders, who will experience much more homework in life!
Homework will come home on Monday and should be returned on Friday in the red homework folder.
Please complete the following activities during the week:
1. Math and Language Arts Review
2. Reading Comprehension
3. Spelling
*It is up to you when to do your homework during the week. It is recommended that spelling be done on a daily basis, instead of all at once. This way, your child will be exposed to the words daily, which will help them on the spelling test on Friday.
Homework Rewards
A homework reward chart will be kept for each student. For each assignment they complete, they will earn a sticker. If the students does not bring back their homework in a timely manner, they will earn an x on their chart. When the charts are filled up, students that have less than 3 x's will earn a reward!
